Dr. Tracey Jensen is a 1996 graduate of Colorado State University. She and her husband, Dr. Wayne Jensen, opened the Wellington Veterinary Hospital in May of 1999. In June 2008 they moved the practice to a new state of the art veterinary hospital still located in Wellington. Also in 2008, Tracey became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline Practice, rectifying in 2016. In 2012, the Wellington Veterinary Hospital was awarded 1st Place Practice of the Year from the American Animal Hospital Association. Tracey currently sits on the ABVP Council of Regents as Regent-At-Large and is Immediate Past President of the American Animal Hospital Association.
Tracey is involved with the Colorado State University veterinary teaching program as a coach for the Junior Communication Course and FRANK training as well as hosting junior and senior student externships.
She and Wayne spend their spare time running, hiking, scuba diving, and training their labradors for retriever field trials. They live in the beautiful rural community of Wellington located 10 miles north of Ft. Collins in Colorado. They share their home with 5 labradors (yes, 5 labs and yes, in the house), 3 cats and a flock of chickens.
