Dr. Erin Keiser is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and attended Utah State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s in Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Sciences. She graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine with her DVM in 2018 as part of the third class to participate in the Washington-Idaho-Montana-Utah (WIMU) regional program. She began her career as a small animal general practitioner in rural Kentucky where she currently still practices.

Dr. Keiser’s passion for numbers and medicine merged when she became part of the Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA) where she learned the basics and importance of understanding hospital financial statements. She continued her education on the subject as a VBMA officer and by attending conferences that specialized in practice management, finance, and valuation CE.

Erin’s Why is rooted in improving the lives of her colleagues through helping them understand the story their hospital’s numbers tell and then using that knowledge to guide their transitioning planning.

When she isn’t practicing or working with numbers, Dr. Keiser enjoys hiking and horseback riding with her husband, daughter, and their dogs on the family farm in Kentucky.
