Dr. Sara Doggett grew up in Chehalis, WA and went to college at Washington State University where completed her B.S. in Animal Sciences with minors in music performance and Danish language, and then graduated from the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. In 2010, she completed an internship at The Cat Clinic, a large feline referral center in Brisbane, Australia, and later earned ABVP (American Board of Veterinary Practitioners) diplomate status in Feline Practice in 2020. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Boston University Questrom School of Business.
After graduation in 2005, dreams of city-living and food delivery lured her and her husband to Boston, Massachusetts in 2005. She has worked in various private and corporate practices, spent a decade as a Chief of Staff Veterinarian in multiple feline hospitals, and has since been practicing as a feline-specific relief veterinarian in the Boston area. Sara has experienced the great joys and difficult struggles of being a veterinarian and a hospital leader. From this came her passion to help others discover ways to work smarter, not harder, to create a healthy hospital with thriving teams. She whole-heartedly desires to make a difference in the veterinary profession through coaching, supporting, and challenging each hospital to achieve their goals.
Sara has a wide range of hobbies and interests which include live music shows, historic home restoration, triathlon racing, and all things ocean-related (swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling!). She lives with her husband and three awesome cats, Enzo Furrari, Earl Grey, and French Roast, in a 180-year-old historic home in Boston.
