  • Hosting quarterly team-building activities
  • Participating in community outreach events
  • Promoting an open-door policy for all team members
  • Emphasizing the importance of teamwork
  • Encouraging a flexible 3–4-day work schedule with rotating Saturdays
  • Our team is the cornerstone of our practice. We strive to be better individually so that we can work cohesively and collaboratively together. Our open dialogue with our staff and with the clients that we serve ensures that we are meeting the high standards of care that our patients deserve.

Tennessee Avenue Animal Hospital is seeking a small animal veterinarian to join our multi-doctor, privately- owned, and AAHA accredited hospital.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
We will work with you to find a schedule that works best for you. We recognize that a good quality life outside of your veterinary career is important. We will support this by providing a 3–4-day work week with rotating Saturday shifts, no after hours, and no on-call responsibilities. Our close location to three specialty hospitals allows you to refer patients when appropriate and avoid overnight cases.

MENTORSHIP
Mentorship will be supported by Dr. Arington and Dr. Wieneke who both have extensive experience in coaching and training veterinary professionals. Want more training in your surgical skills? Look no further! Dr. Wieneke has a passion for surgery and education and will provide reliable mentorship in this area. You can also expect daily morning case reviews and weekly check-ins. Tennessee Avenue’s high volume case load and consistent need for veterinary care within the community offers great potential for growth and career development. You can also look forward to regular CE opportunities as a team with lunch provided. Candidates that enjoy collaboration in cases, engagement, and have ambitions to excel are encouraged to apply!

FOCUS ON WELL-BEING
We recognize that a good quality life outside of your veterinary career is important. We advocate for your well-being and mental health by involving you as an active member of the team. We want you to have a voice in the hospital by having staff-lead meetings to hear your ideas and insights and having an open-door policy to ensure you have an active role as a part of our team. Be a part of a hospital that takes action to create a place of belonging, fun, and exceptional
