Dustin Pulliam, DVM, MBA, is a dedicated veterinary professional with a passion for education, leadership, and clinical excellence. A native of southeast Tennessee, he developed an early love for veterinary medicine on his grandfather’s farm. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, followed by his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Recognizing the value of business expertise in veterinary practice, he later obtained an MBA from Lincoln Memorial University (LMU).
Dr. Pulliam’s background in veterinary medicine ranges from equine exclusive practice, small animal medicine to multi-unit management overseeing several states. In 2017, he joined Lincoln Memorial University where he serves as the Director of Professional Life Skills at the College of Veterinary Medicine, where he focuses on developing curricula in leadership, communication, practice management, entrepreneurship, and professional development.
In 2023, Dr. Pulliam founded Animal Urgent Care Tri-State (AUC) in Middlesboro, Kentucky, providing urgent and emergent care to the rural community. AUC also serves as a training ground for veterinary students and young doctors, fostering hands-on learning in clinical practice and management. Outside of his professional roles, he enjoys life on his horse farm with his wife and two sons and remains active in his church.
