Our team exists to reduce the time, effort, and stress of the candidate search. By managing the search and placement process, you and your team can focus your time and attention on what you do best – caring for your patients.

Our Process

We bring expertise, determination, and detail to every veterinarian, practice manager, technician, and receptionist
search. Here’s what you can expect once the process begins:

STEP 1 PRACTICE PROFILE MEETING

We’ll schedule a 1-hour phone or meeting to meet our Hiring Services team and complete your practice profile. The goal of this meeting is to learn about the unique strengths, services, and culture of your practice so that we can accurately convey the job opportunity to attract and identify ideal candidates. Speaking with you gives us the opportunity to understand the needs of your practice and what sets you apart from all the other practices that are hiring.

STEP 2 JOB AD AND MARKET RESEARCH

After the Practice Profile Meeting, we will create a unique and engaging job ad that will let candidates know exactly why they should want to work with your team! A draft of the job ad will be sent to you to review and provide feedback. Your input matters!

The Hiring Services team will also conduct Market Research for your specific area to make sure your position is competitive, and attractive to candidates. We will research wage and benefit recommendations and also analyze what competitors are offering.

STEP 3 CANDIDATE SOURCING AND INTERVIEWING

Once the ad and position package have been approved, we will move forward with posting your ad on various job boards, sourcing candidates, and interviewing!

When a candidate expresses an interest in a position at your hospital, our team will conduct an initial phone screening interview with them. After the phone screening interview, we will send you the candidate’s resume and phone interview notes for you to review. After reviewing these documents and our team’s recommendations, you will let us know if you want to proceed with an in-person interview.

We recommend inviting final candidates to an in-person interview and job shadow. This will allow the candidate to meet your staff, tour your clinic, and get a feel for what it would be like to be a member of your team. We will provide you with resources for scheduling and conducting an in-person interview and will communicate with you and the candidate before and after the interview.

STEP 4 HIRING A CANDIDATE

Making an offer is a step in the process managed by you. Our team can provide you with recommendations for making a competitive offer as well as offer letter and employment contract templates.

After an offer has been accepted, we will conduct a reference check and background check for you. At this point, we will turn over the communication with the candidate to your hospital. You will be responsible for coordinating the candidate’s start date, onboarding, and their schedule going forward as a new member of your team!
