Part-Owner Veterinarian

PetSmart Veterinary Services (PVS) is offering a unique Part-Owner Veterinarian position at our independently owned locations in Victoria and Richmond, TX. We are looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial-minded veterinarian (DVM/VMD) who is ready to lead, build, and grow their own practice while delivering gold-standard veterinary care.

Compensation & Benefits Package
- $120,000 – $170,000 base salary (DOE) paid on 20% production (no negative accrual)
- 19% ownership at the start of employment
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- IRA contributions with 3% employer match
- Negotiable maternity/paternity leave
- Relocation assistance available
- 25 days of PTO (increasing annually)
- 5 paid CE days with a $4,000 CE stipend
- Scrubs and stethoscope provided
- Fully equipped hospitals featuring brand-new IDEXX lab equipment, a dedicated surgery suite, and four exam rooms.
- 4-day work week with rotating Saturdays

Who We’re Looking For:
As a Part-Owner Veterinarian, you will play a dual role in leading both the medical and business operations of the practice. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality veterinary care, fostering a positive team culture, and driving the clinic’s growth and financial success.
Medical & Leadership Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the veterinary team to provide the highest standard of patient care.
- Mentor and develop associate veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff.
- Establish and enforce medical protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Review P&L statements quarterly to assess financial health and make informed business decisions to manage the growth of the clinic.
- Collaborate with the partner DVM to share accounting responsibilities and ensure financial transparency.
- Identify opportunities to enhance clinic efficiency, uphold safety protocols, optimize operations, and increase profitability.
- Oversee inventory management, equipment purchases, and cost-control measures.
