UNBRIDLED

Blue Heron Consulting’s 2nd Annual Practice Ownership Externship
OCTOBER 5 – 15, 2020

Receive hands-on experience.

Put principle into practice.

Learn from industry experts and peers.

Prepare for your leap into practice ownership.

We’re excited for another year of challenging and developing the next generation of veterinary practice owners! This year, the Unbridled experience gets even better with a change in location and more topics geared toward providing veterinary students with a head start on their path to success.

This year’s event will be hosted in historical Stanford, Kentucky, October 5-15, 2020. The first week of the externship will consist primarily of classroom learning, but students need not worry, the dynamic is a combination of lecture, discussion, small group work, and case reviews because we understand sitting at a desk for 3 years gets old! The second week is where the magic happens – you will spend several days spent onsite in a veterinary hospital getting behind the scenes insight and evaluating topics covered the week prior. By then end of the week, participants will be able to deliver actionable recommendations to the practice owners and oversee implementation of best management practices in a real-world setting. In total, participants will walk away with abilities to interpret hospital financial statements, personally wield and foster a strong cultural influence in their practices, learn what it takes to create a successful team, and become leaders for those they serve, colleagues and clients alike.

This is more than just an externship… it’s an opportunity to enhance your future in veterinary medicine. Learn how to leverage successful practice ownership to improve wellbeing and wellness, tackle student debt and create financial security.

The course will be co-facilitated by Blue Heron CEO and current private practice owner Stith Keiser, hospital manager, Nick Biermaier, private practice veterinarian, Dr. Kelley Brown, and externship co-founder Amber Howarth, DVM.

Join us this coming October in Stanford, Kentucky! For more information or if interested in participation, please contact Stith at skeiser@bhcteam.com.
